DETROIT (AP) - City residents are invited to comment on Detroit’s budget.

The city says a public budget meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Joseph Walker Williams Center on Rosa Parks Boulevard.

Officials say the city’s current economic condition and major residential service priorities will be discussed. Representatives from various city departments will attend the meeting.

Detroit filed for bankruptcy in 2013 under a state-appointed emergency manager. The city exited bankruptcy at the end of 2014 and is operating under a plan to shed or restructure about $7 billion in debt.

In September, a state-appointed financial review commission said the city was continuing to meet its post-bankruptcy requirements. The board made the determination after certification of an audit of the Detroit’s 2014-15 budget.
