Gregory man on trial for allegedly killing his infant son

BURKE, S.D. (AP) - A Gregory man accused of killing his infant son by shaking him and causing severe brain damage is on trial in Gregory County.

Twenty-four-year-old Adam Bruns earlier pleaded not guilty to several charges including murder in the March 2014 death of 3-month-old Levi Bruns. He’ll face life in prison if convicted of second-degree murder.

The Daily Republic reports (https://bit.ly/2ejNhpk ) that jury selection began Monday. Opening statements from attorneys are scheduled Thursday. The trial is expected to last two weeks.
