PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police are trying to find a man who stole a woman’s car while her son was still sitting inside.

Police say it happened about 9 p.m. Monday in the city’s Mayfair section, when the boy’s mother got out of the car to use an ATM.

Police say that’s when the man jumped into the car and drove away with the boy in the back seat.

Police say the man ditched the car moments later once he realized the boy was still inside and stole the woman’s wallet before running away.

The suspect will likely face charges of car theft and kidnapping. Police say the boy wasn’t harmed.
