WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Police in Winston-Salem say an 18-year-old high school football player has been charged in connection with a fight with a teammate.

Local media outlets report police were called to Carver High School shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday. Officers found one of the players with a cut on his back. The injury was described as non-life-threatening.

Investigators say the player and his teammate got into an argument during practice on Tuesday and agreed to meet in the locker room after the practice to fight. Both players were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Arrest warrants show Krishon Jamar Robinson is charged with assault with a deadly weapon, simple affray and possession of a weapon on school property. Robinson was freed on $2,500 bond.
