SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Investigators in Simpsonville are working around the clock to find who killed a 22-year-old woman found dead in an abandoned home that used to be a place for high school friends to hang out.

Police said in a news release that friends looking for Catherine Boyter-Blauvelt found her body around 1 a.m. Wednesday, two days after she was last seen alive.

The coroner’s office called Boyter-Blauvelt’s death a homicide, but did not release the cause of her death.

Interim Simpsonville Police Chief Steve Moore says he has as many officers and investigators as he can working around the clock on the case.
