WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - A former Williston man has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for killing a co-worker.

Tovias Carrillo earlier pleaded guilty to killing 51-year-old Juan Palacios after longstanding argument between the two landscape employees. Authorities say Carrillo met Palacious at his trailer in January 2014 and shot him in the head. Palacios‘ body was found beneath a mattress along a highway in Williams County.

The 51-year-old Carrillo entered the guilty pleas to murder, terrorizing and aggravated assault as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Carrillo is already serving a four-year sentence for trying to conceal evidence after he attacked an inmate in 2015 in the Williams County Correctional Center.
