HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Robert Williams is no longer interim superintendent of Hattiesburg Public School District - he’s the district’s permanent superintendent.

The Hattiesburg American reports (https://hatne.ws/2eN2a2w) the district’s board of trustees voted 5-0 during a special-called meeting Thursday to appoint him superintendent.

The board had been looking for a replacement for Janice Johnson, who was hired from Biloxi Public School District, but remained in the superintendent’s job for only one day: July 1.
