CALERA, Ala. (AP) - A grand jury has indicted a Calera man accused of running over his wife of less than six months.

AL.com (https://bit.ly/2f0fOi0 ) reports that a Shelby County grand jury indicted 36-year-old Kenneth Thomas Young this week on charges of murder, reckless murder and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.

The indictment says Young intentionally caused the death of his wife, Christen Nichole “Nicki” Carr, on June 25 by running her over. The charges also claim that he left the scene after killing her.

Young was arrested in June and booked at Shelby County Jail in lieu of a $1.5 million bond.

Young is set to be arraigned in November. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
