FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A defendant accused of fatally stabbing a man and injuring his nephew on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation has been found guilty following a jury trial.

Thirty-six-year-old Dallas Thundershield was convicted of second-degree murder and three other counts following a six-day trial in federal court in Fargo this week.

Prosecutors say the victims, Elvis Demarce and his uncle Richard Demarce Sr., offered Thundershield and his girlfriend a ride while they were walking in Fort Totten April 9. As they were driving around an argument began and Elvis got out of the pickup. Thundershield stabbed him several times before turning to beat his uncle. Thundershield and his girlfriend drove away, then returned within minutes. Prosecutors say Thundershield stabbed Richard in the chest, killing him.

Thundershield was also convicted of attacking his girlfriend hours later at a residence in Hamar.
