LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - A suspect who was shot by two Lake Havasu City police officers is still in critical condition.
Authorities say 21-year-old Charlie Gonzalez was transported from a hospital in Lake Havasu City to one in Las Vegas on Thursday.
He is listed as being in critical but stable condition.
According to Kingman police, who are investigating the shooting, Gonzalez is connected to a drug investigation.
Lake Havasu City police were serving a search warrant at a home early Wednesday. A SWAT team entered the home and came into contact with Gonzalez, who was armed with a handgun.
Gonzalez allegedly fired one shot at a uniformed SWAT officer.
Police say two officers returned fire, striking the suspect several times. No officers were injured.
The two officers are on administrative leave.
