CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Shane Bucenell threw three touchdown passes, London Johnson threw another and ran for two more scores and Charleston Southern beat Bucknell 49-28 on Saturday.

Bucenell led the Buccaneers (5-2) to a 21-14 halftime lead with TD strikes of 59 yards to Saire Davis and 27 and 13 yards to Kameron Brown. Johnson threw a 32-yard TD pass Davis and scored on runs of 5 and 20 yards.

The Buccaneers outgained the Bison 548-242 and held Bucknell to 71 yards rushing.

Zane Cruz intercepted R.J. Nitti’s pass and returned it 38 yards to the Bison 1 in the fourth quarter and Mike Holloway ran it in one play later for Charleston Southern’s final score. Holloway gained 105 yards on 11 carries.

Nitti threw TD passes of 10 yards to Jack Horan and 3 yards to Andrew Owers for Bucknell (3-5). Chad Freshnock scored on runs of 2 and 1 yards.
