CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is looking to make a few points behind the podium at Harvard this weekend.

The pro basketball Hall of Famer and bestselling author delivers the keynote address at Harvard’s annual Coaches Clinic on Saturday. He’s also speaking at the Institute of Politics at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government in a conversation moderated by Henry Louis Gates.

Abdul-Jabbar is a six-time NBA champion and three-time NCAA champion.

He’s been touring the country to talk about racism, inequality and his new book, “Writings on the Wall - Searching for a New Equality Beyond Black and White.”

Abdul-Jabbar, an outspoken Muslim, was born Lew Alcindor and converted to Islam in his 20s.
