CLEVELAND (AP) - Cleveland State University is seeking proposals on where to build additional housing for up to 1,000 students on its campus.

One of the options being looked at would replace the school’s 13,000-seat basketball arena with a smaller facility to allow for more housing. Another option would be to put the new dormitories on athletic fields on campus.

Cleveland State wants to add the housing units in the next few years to meet student demand. Cleveland.com reports (https://bit.ly/2dxupGz) that three groups have been asked to submit proposals for the project.

The housing proposals are being sought at the school tries to reshape its image from a commuter school into a residential campus.
