ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - The next chancellor of Louisiana State University of Alexandria will be one of three finalists to be interviewed beginning Monday.

The Town Talk (https://townta.lk/2eZWLo3) reports the candidates are Dominic Aquila of Houston, Texas; Guiyou Huang of Northfield, Vermont; and Neal Weaver of Thibodaux, Louisiana.

First up is Aquila, provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of St. Thomas where he’s also served as chief academic officer and interim president.

Weaver, who serves as vice president for university advancement and innovation at Nicholls State University, is on Wednesday.

Huang’s interview is Thursday. He is senior vice president for academic affairs, dean of faculty and professor of English at Norwich University.

Interim chancellor Haywood Joiner Jr. has served since August after former Chancellor Dan Howard stepped down in May.
