LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say a woman who was reported missing five days earlier was found alive in a crashed Hummer in the Mojave Desert.

The Los Angeles Times reports Sunday (https://lat.ms/2dSWFCD ) that the San Bernardino County Fire Department received reports late Saturday that a vehicle had rolled down a hill near Adelanto and someone was trapped inside.

Authorities say they learned the woman had been reported missing while they were rescuing her from the crashed vehicle.

The woman was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. She is expected to survive.

Authorities did not release the woman’s name.
