LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming’s upset over No. 13 Boise State is still paying dividends.

Cowboys senior nose tackle Chase Appleby and senior tight end Jacob Hollister were named the Mountain West Conference defensive and offensive players of the week, respectively, on Monday.

The two had big games in Wyoming’s 30-28 victory on Saturday.

Appleby provided the winning points from his defensive tackle position. With the scored tied 28-28, Appleby sacked Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien and knocked the ball loose. The ball bounced out of the back of the Broncos’ end zone for a safety with 1:25 left in the game.

Appleby also had two tackles for loss on the night.

Hollister had a career day, catching six passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
