EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. (AP) - A southeast Missouri man is jailed after police say he intentionally struck a woman with his car.

The Sikeston Standard Democrat (https://bit.ly/2eqP0aN ) reports that East Prairie police were called Sunday afternoon after being told a woman was intentionally struck. The driver fled the scene and later fled from officers who tried to contact him, but was later found and taken into custody. Police are seeking several charges.

The victim is hospitalized. Details about the extent of her injuries have not been released.
