LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A three-part class is teaching participants about all aspects of deer processing.

The Nebraska Game and Parks course is being held at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park. The first was held earlier this week, covering field care and curing.

The Dec. 4 class will focus on sausage making, and a class Dec. 11 will cover cooking fresh venison.

Cure Cooking of Fort Calhoun is leading the classes, which costs $35 each. Space is limited. To register, visit CureCooking.com/DeerClasses.

Fort Atkinson is located seven blocks east of U.S. Highway 75 near Fort Calhoun. A park entry permit is required.
