GAFFNEY, S.C. (AP) - Limestone College says it’s reached its goal of raising $12 million, the largest effort in the Gaffney school’s history.

The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reports (https://bit.ly/2cPeOkh) that the Campaign “Today’s Needs…Tomorrow’s Dreams” started in 2010.

It’s the most money the school has raised in its 171-year history.

The liberal arts college has more than 3,000 undergraduate students.

About $6 million will be used for a new library. Nearly $5 million will go to various improvements in outdoor athletic facilities.

Groundbreaking for the Betsy Campbell Library will be held soon. It will replace a library built in 1966.
