HENRICO, Va. (AP) - A Henrico mother is facing felony charges after authorities say she left her three daughters home alone while she vacationed in Mexico with her boyfriend.

WWBT-TV (https://bit.ly/2dYdzQ0 ) reports that 30-year-old Aida Stovall is charged with three counts of child abuse/neglect.

Court records say Stovall left her 11-year-old and twin 8-year-old daughters alone for two days in September, while she and her boyfriend traveled to Cancun, Mexico.

A judge revealed in court Friday that authorities launched an investigation after Stovall’s oldest daughter told a school principal that she and her sisters had been left alone.

Stovall was arrested by U.S. Customs agents when she returned to the country in Florida. She was extradited back to Virginia and has been denied bond.
