RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - A jury has acquitted a man charged with shooting his neighbor to death near Dubois.

The Riverton Ranger reports (https://goo.gl/ueINES ) James Morrison was found not guilty Tuesday of second-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter in the April 7 death of 64-year-old Paul Good.

Morrison’s attorneys successfully argued that prosecutors failed to disprove Morrison’s claim that he had acted in self-defense when he shot Good in the middle of a road.

Morrison faced at least 20 years in prison if jurors convicted him of second-degree murder.
