A Detroit man accused of making terrorist threats against white police officers is wanted on multiple felony charges.

Authorities are actively searching for 40-year-old Nheru Gowan Littleton, who allegedly wrote on Facebook that he wanted to “kill all white cops.”

“The message is clear,” Detroit Police Chief James Craig said Wednesday, a local CBS News affiliate reported. “If you threaten the lives of police officers there will be a certain response by law enforcement, and certainly as demonstrated by Attorney General Bill Schuette, we are serious about threats to kill police officers.”

According to investigators, Mr. Littleton wrote on Facebook praise for Micah Xavier Johnson hours after the Army Reserve veteran killed five police officers at a Black Lives Matter rally in Dallas.

“To those sniper’s [sic] in Texas, I commend your bravery and actions!!! #blacklivesmatter,” he reportedly wrote July 8.

Other posts included “Kill all white cops!!!,” “Black people should start killing all white cops just like they killing us!!!” and “If these racist a white cops want to PURGE on Black Lives!!! Then let’s PURGE on these racist a— white cops!!!”

Mr. Littleton has been charged with making a terroristic threat and using a computer to commit a crime, both felonies punishable by 20 years in prison, CBS reported.

The suspect described himself as a Marine Corps veteran on social media, and he has a valid concealed pistol license and owns a Smith and Wesson .45 caliber firearm, according Mr. Schuette, CBS reported.

“A threat to law enforcement officers is a threat to us all,” Mr. Schuette said. “The men and women who stand between mothers and children and those that want to do harm should be able to do their job without the fear of an unprovoked attack. This is a fight worth fighting, we cannot allow it to be open season on police.”
