BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Trial for a former Minot neurosurgeon facing federal child pornography charges has been rescheduled until later in the year.

Fifty-five-year-old Marc Eichler was to stand trial early next month in U.S. District Court in Bismarck. His attorney requested more time to prepare, and Judge Daniel Hovland has rescheduled the trial until mid-December.

Eichler is accused of coercing two minors into becoming victims of child pornography. He’s pleaded not guilty to seven counts, including producing and receiving child porn.

Eichler was formerly employed by Trinity Health in Minot.
