PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A Pennsylvania barber has been acquitted of charges he sexually assaulted a 12-year-old New Jersey girl.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports (https://bit.ly/2dYo073 ) a Philadelphia jury found 42-year-old George Williams not guilty of rape, unlawful conduct with a minor and corruption of a minor.

The girl, a runaway from Atlantic City, had said Williams, of Pottstown, had her accompany him to a July 2013 burglary. She said he also took her to a Philadelphia hotel and sexually assaulted her on another day.

Williams‘ attorney, Michael Parlow, says the girl was charged in the burglary. Williams was not.

Parlow says the girl testified that she lied about much of what she accused Williams of doing. She didn’t recant the rape allegation.
