BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Trial has been delayed until early next year for a Bismarck man accused of killing a woman last spring.
Thirty-three-year-old Morris Brickle-Hicks has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of 40-year-old Misty Coffelt, whose body was found outside of a business on April 14.
Brickle-Hicks was to stand trial in late October, but his attorney requested more time to prepare. Court documents show a judge has rescheduled the trial for late January.
Police allege Brickle-Hicks struck Coffelt in the face about half a dozen times. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be blunt head trauma.
