Moberly man charged with murder

MOBERLY, Mo. (AP) - Authorities have charged a 28-year-old central Missouri man with murder in a shooting death.

The Moberly Monitor Index reports (https://j.mp/2e5kJTi) that Joseph Lee Kertz of Moberly faces charges including first-degree murder and second-degree arson in the death of Kevin McCuiston.

The victim was found in a home where emergency crews were called to put out a small fire Thursday.

Online court records don’t list a lawyer for Kertz, who’s being held on $500,000 cash bond.
