OAK PARK, Mich. (AP) - A 61-year-old suburban Detroit man has been charged in the fatal shootings of his wife and her sister.

WDIV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2d6u1xl ) that Abdul Akhenaton was arraigned Friday on two counts of first-degree murder.

His 66-year-old wife, Alice Richardson, was found shot to death Wednesday night in an SUV outside the couple’s Oak Park home. Alice Richardson’s 53-year-old sister, Gay Richardson, was found inside the house.



The couple’s adult daughter was able to escape.

Police say Akhenaton later turned himself in at police headquarters.

Police have said the shootings weren’t random and may have stemmed from a domestic incident.
