TORONTO (AP) - Jozy Altidore scored his second goal of the game in the 86th minute and Toronto FC tied the New York Red Bulls 3-3 on Sunday to warp up a playoff spot.
Altidore took Michael Bradley’s pass and beat a defender, turning at the edge of the penalty box to fire the ball home. Altidore also scored in a free kick in the 68th minute to pull Toronto (13-8-8) within one. He has eight goals in his last nine games.

Toronto is 7-1-2 in its last 10 games to take a two-point lead in the Eastern Conference to two points
Tthe Red Bulls extended their club-record unbeaten streak in league play to 12 games (5-0-7).
Bradley Wright-Phillips, scoring in his sixth straight game, upped his season goals total to 20 with a pair for New York. The Red Bulls also got an own goal from Toronto’s Steven Beitashour.
Bradley also scored for Toronto, which fell behind 2-0 after 31 minutes.
