PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police have questioned - but not immediately charged - a gunman after a woman holding a baby and two other people were wounded in a daylight shooting at a busy intersection.
Police haven’t released the suspect’s name, nor those of the wounded.
Police found 17 shell casings after gunfire broke out about 4:30 p.m. Monday at 18th and Wharton streets in South Philadelphia.
The 32-year-old mother with the baby was shot in the upper left arm, but her 10-month-old wasn’t hurt. A 62-year-old woman was hit in the leg and a 40-year-old man was also hit in the leg. He may have been the intended target, but police aren’t sure.
Police took a man into custody after he ran away with a gun, but they’re not sure he’s the shooter.
