Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager on Wednesday said that Donald Trump “can be triggered very quickly,” as the candidates prepare for Monday’s presidential debate.

“I think we’ve seen that this is someone who can be triggered very quickly,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said on CNN’s “New Day.”

“He can get set off by a tweet,” Mr. Mook said. “That’s why, I would argue, he is unfit and unprepared to have our nuclear codes and lead our men and women in uniform as commander-in-chief.”

“So who knows? That’s the thing about Donald Trump — you never know what’s going to set him off. She’s going to be prepared for whatever comes,” he said.

Mr. Trump, meanwhile, has said his temperament is perhaps his greatest asset.

The GOP nominee was asked earlier this week if he’s aware that Mrs. Clinton might try to “bait” him into saying something controversial.

“Hey, I went to the best school. … I was a very good student,” Mr. Trump told Fox News host Bill O’Reilly. “Bill, what kind of a question is that?”

“Yeah, I mean, she can bait me and I can bait her, and we’ll see what happens,” he said.
