OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Police say an Oklahoma City woman who was seriously injured during an assault nearly three weeks ago had died of her injuries.
Sgt. Gary Knight says 54-year-old Carla Martin died Friday morning at a hospital where she was taken after being found injured on Sept. 3.
Knight says Martin was found by paramedics and police responding to an assault call at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex.
A man found at the scene was arrested for domestic violence. Knight says the complaint will be amended to first-degree murder, but court records do not indicate that formal charges have yet been filed.
