VILLA RICA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a woman’s body was found in a wooded area along a highway in the west Georgia town of Villa Rica.
Douglas County Coroner Randy Daniel tells the Times-Georgian (https://bit.ly/2cxWeNu) that the decomposed body is that of a white female.
Villa Rica police tell WSB-TV (https://2wsb.tv/2dlSoUB) that the body was found just off Bankhead Highway around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Police say they’re going through reports of missing women in the area. They haven’t determined how the woman died.
