PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say New Jersey State Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that left two people dead.

State Police say a motorcycle traveling south on Interstate 287 late Sunday morning in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township ran off the road and struck a guardrail, throwing its two riders.

The riders, identified by state police as 56-year-old James Ruggiero Jr. and 53-year-old Denise Hannon, were declared dead at the scene. Both were from Hamburg.

Public records indicate they lived at the same address

State police say local traffic lanes reopened Sunday afternoon.
