AMITE, La. (AP) - The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office says an inmate has died while in custody at the parish jail in Amite.

Authorities said Monday that 55-year-old Brady Williams, of Hammond, died Friday of unknown causes.

Foul play is not suspected but the sheriff’s office says a cause of death will be determined by the coroner’s office.
