Royal sister-in-law Pippa Middleton has filed a motion in a British court following the recent hacking of her iCloud account, the Daily Mail reported Tuesday.
“The 33-year-old sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, has lodged a case in the Queen’s Bench Division of the London court, where judges look at issues of privacy and libel,” explained the Daily Mail.
Absent court action, the photos on Ms. Middleton’s account, reportedly including snapshots of her royal nephew and niece, could command a handsome sum from tabloid publications willing to pay for them.
The Daily Mail reported that among the compromised photos is rumored to be at least one naked image of Ms. Middleton’s fiance, London hedge fund manager James Matthews. It is unclear if Ms. Middleton herself is depicted naked in any images compromised in the hack.
Aggressive European paparazzi have gone to great lengths to photograph and publish images of the royals in compromising positions, despite the risk of jail time. In 2013, a French photographer was charged with violating Kate Middleton’s privacy for snapping a topless photo of the sunbathing royal.
