MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Bond has been set at $2 million cash for a man charged with murder in what authorities say was a gang-related fatal shooting in Minot.

Twenty-six-year-old Johnny Norwood was arrested in Las Vegas in late May and made his first court appearance in Minot on Wednesday. He did not immediately enter a plea to felony charges of murder, attempted murder and reckless endangerment.

Authorities allege Norwood shot and killed 30-year-old Roger Falana on Nov. 29, 2015, in a downtown Minot alley. He’s also accused of shooting a woman who survived, and firing multiple shots that endangered other people.

Authorities allege Norwood has ties to a gang in California. They say Falana had ties to a gang in his home state of Florida.
