VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Two people were injured in a drive-by shooting on State Route 500 in Vancouver.

KGW in Portland reports (https://bit.ly/2ciCQjA ) that a Honda was heading east at about 2 a.m. Saturday when a passenger from a passing vehicle fired at the car.

Will Finn of Washington State Patrol says the Honda’s driver was shot in the left knee. A bullet grazed the back of the head of a man in the front seat.

Finn says both injuries are considered non-life-threatening. Investigators say at least eight shots hit the Honda.

The driver said an unknown vehicle was following closely before moving to the left lane to pass. A passenger fired a handgun at the Honda so the driver pulled over to the shoulder and called 911. The suspect fled the scene and has not been found.
