WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Police in Winston-Salem are investigating the shooting death of a man at an apartment complex.

Police said in a statement that 18-year-old Angel Gonzales was standing with a group of men outside an apartment complex around 9 p.m. Thursday when someone opened fire on the group from some nearby woods.

Officers said Gonzales was hit at least once. No one else was hurt.



Witnesses told officers a suspicious vehicle was in the area shortly before the shooting. Investigators are trying to determine if it was related to the shooting.

No arrests have been reported.
