TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in Pima County say a man has died after his dirt bike crashed.

County deputies say the accident happened around 10:50 a.m. Sunday in a desert area.

Deputies found 36-year-old Arlyn Van De Mark and pronounced him dead at the scene.

They say it appears Van De Mark had tried to jump over a gully and crashed.

There were no other occupants.

Van De Mark was wearing a helmet and other protective gear.

Deputies do not think impairment was a factor.

The collision is still under investigation.
