CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Karen Hill Johnson has been appointed as a family court judge serving Barbour and Taylor counties.
Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin announced the appointment last week.
Johnson will fill a vacancy through the end of the year created by the resignation of Beth Longo. Johnson also won election in May to the same seat for the next term starting in January.
Johnson opened a private law practice in 2007 and has an extensive background in family court proceedings.
