FORT PAYNE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a man accused of shooting at his wife’s car and threatening to kill police has been arrested in northeast Alabama.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris tells local news media that 39-year-old Alton Scott Durham was arrested Thursday on charges of domestic violence and discharging a firearm into a car.

Police have been searching for Durham for about a month for misdemeanor and felony warrants for his arrests in Jackson and DeKalb counties.

Police say Durham had armed himself with three guns, and told witnesses he intended to kill police.

Durham is being held at the DeKalb County Detention Center on a $130,000 bond. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
