GLOUCESTER POINT, Va. (AP) - Authorities say the body of one of two missing commercial fishermen has been recovered in Gloucester County.

Officials say 47-year-old Philip Brown and 30-year-old Anthony West, both of Guinea, Virginia, were reported missing late Saturday morning after failing to return from a Friday evening trip.

Officials say the men had been working a gill net in the Swash Channel near the Guinea Marshes.

A Virginia Marine Police pilot spotted their sunken vessel in the channel early Saturday afternoon. Brown’s body was found tangled in a nearby gill net.

Authotiries said they would continue searching for West until nightfall Saturday and would resume the search Sunday if necessary.

Brown’s body has been taken to a medical examiner’s office in Norfolk.
