MACUNGIE, Pa. (AP) - A corner says a teenager who died following a shooting in an eastern Pennsylvania home over the weekend was killed by a shotgun wound to the body.

The Lehigh county coroner’s office announced a finding on the cause of death following an autopsy Monday on the body of 17-year-old Chris Perez.

Coroner Scott Grim said a ruling on the manner of death is pending completion of an investigation and results of toxicology tests.

Authorities said Perez died Saturday afternoon at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest after he was shot at a Lower Macungie Township home.

District Attorney Jim Martin said investigators were still gathering details about exactly what happened, and no charges were immediately filed.
