PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Police say a man has died in a shooting at a public park in northeast Portland.

The Portland Police Bureau said in a news release that officers responded to Holladay Park Tuesday afternoon on a report of a person with a gunshot wound.

Police say emergency personnel found an unresponsive male in the park who died despite efforts to revive him.

Witnesses told police the suspect fled after the shooting. Police had not located a suspect as of Tuesday night.

Police believe people witnessed the incident and ask anyone with information to call 911 or detectives at (503) 823-0400.
