KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Kingman man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a city firefighter.

Kingman police say 33-year-old Anthony Puglia has been booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility on suspicion of aggravated assault.

The arrest stems from an incident that occurred when Kingman Fire Department paramedics were sent to a home about an unresponsive person.

Paramedics arrived and found a 34-year-old Kingman man deceased in the house.

Police say the death is suspicious and possibly the result of an overdose.

Puglia was the man’s roommate and police say he became aggressive and demanded that paramedics begin treatment.

Police say Puglia pushed a firefighter and began breaking items in the home.

Officers arrived and ultimately arrested Puglia.

It was unclear Thursday if Puglia has an attorney yet.
