ARNOLD, Md. (AP) - Authorities are identifying a 78-year-old man killed in a fire at his home.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department officials identified the man in a news release Thursday as Franklin Dobson, the owner the Arnold home. Officials say one of two men in the home when the fire broke out was able to escape unharmed, but Dobson died at the scene.

Officials say it took 56 firefighters about 20 minutes to control the fire and two fire boats helped provide a continuous supply of water.

Members of the Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit have concluded that the fire was accidental, but the cause is still undetermined. Damage is estimated at about $225,000.
