LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Latest on a truck crash and fuel spill that closed a key stretch of the busiest freeway in Las Vegas (all times local):

2:15 p.m.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says Interstate 15 has reopened in Las Vegas, seven hours after a truck crash and fuel spill closed northbound lanes near downtown.

Trooper Jason Buratczuk (bur-AH’-chek) says the road reopened about 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Buratczuk says the truck driver, 56-year-old John Cuellar, was arrested on misdemeanor suspicion of driving under the influence and failure to maintain a travel lane in the 6:30 a.m. crash near Charleston Boulevard.

The wreck and fuel spill cleanup snarled the morning commute for thousands of drivers on the interstate, which is the main route between Los Angeles and Salt Lake City.

Buratczuk says about 200 gallons (757 liters) of diesel spilled when the tractor-trailer hit a freeway barrier.

He says Cuellar wasn’t hurt in the crash.
