NORT FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two people were killed after their car left a southwest Florida road and hit a palm tree.
The News-Press (https://goo.gl/Cw9OMr ) reports that the crash occurred Thursday afternoon in North Fort Myers.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 22-year-old Marvin Bryer was speeding when he lost control. The car flipped, and its roof hit the tree.
FHP says both Bryer and his passenger, 18-year-old Jaya Rucker, died at the scene.
