BARTO, Pa. (AP) - State police say a 13-year-old boy was critically injured in a shooting in eastern Pennsylvania and a suspect is being sought.
Police in Berks County said officers were called to Washington Township shortly before 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The Reading Eagle reported that dispatchers said the teenager was shot in the collarbone with a 9 mm pistol. The teenager was reportedly conscious but was experiencing what was called “significant bleeding” and having respiratory difficulties.
The suspect was reported by police and emergency responders as someone known to authorities.
