WARRENTON, Va. (AP) - Nearly 100 headstones were overturned or damaged at a cemetery in Warrenton.
Local police are searching for the suspects responsible for the vandalism at the Warrenton Cemetery.
Police say there doesn’t appear to be any connection between the headstones.
Police think the vandals struck either late Wednesday or early Thursday. A local historical society has launched a fundraising effort with a goal of $50,000 for cleanup and repairs.
